Palo Santo (Holy Wood)

The Palo Santo (Holy Wood) is a sacred tree that has been used for ceremonies and healing in South America. Fallen trees and branches of the Palo Santo Tree are left to dry and cure in the forest for a period of two to seven years before being collected, eventually revealing a magical fragrance.

The burning of Palo Santo has been used to purify energies, protect from negative energies, bring clarity & healing to our spiritual body, cleansing a new home of energy, clearing crystals, anxiety, aroma, even to make way for us to connect with our higher purpose.

• Turn the stick upside down and burn for about 10-15 seconds allowing the flame to build. Blow it out, and smudge your space.
• Open a window/door and work yourself from the back of the room/house to the front, waving all energy or feelings you want to remove out your space.
• While smudging, say a wholesome prayer/affirmations.., “I welcome love, peace, security.” “I remove all energy that do not serve me”, and so much more.

~ To cleanse a person, you will begin the smudging from the feet of yourself or another on the front side of the body and concluding on the back side of yourself or another.

Don’t forget to clear the space above the individual, making way for your higher purpose!

~To cleanse an item, wave the holy wood over the item while speaking life and pure intent.
